Bus times on KTEL website. -- Iraklio [ Heraklion ] is the capital of the island of Crete. ----- Rethymo has a huge Fortress, looming over the place.--- My third stay was Hania, the second largest city on Crete. There is a Venetian harbour. Wherever i went on Crete the food was great.---Place names are often different Iraklio is Heraklion, Hania often Chania.---I took a public bus to Paleohora a lovely place, on the Libya Sea side of the island------From Hania i took the ferry back to mainland Greece..----- Crete is a lovely place.
